Brayden's Battle

August 4, 2017

The inspiration for this year’s Kuyahoora Valley Foundation MAC Daddy charity golf event was Brayden Webb, the nephew of a great friend of the KVF, Brian Webb from Atlanta, GA.

Brayden’s path through the Aflac Cancer Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) started about a year ago. Brayden was expedited off his Disney Cruise by the Coast Guard and initially taken to a children's hospital in Miami, ultimately ending up back in Atlanta at CHOA for cancer treatment. To mark the end of his chemotherapy and radiation treatments, Brayden ceremonially rang a bell to signal the end of this journey.

Kristen & Joe Lindenmayer, Megan Hafer, Brad Hugick, and Brian & Brayden Webb celebrated KVF’s contribution to the Aflac Cancer Center to help in the treatment and recovery of future patients.

Thanks to all our friends and neighbors who helped us raise $16,000 at this year’s MAC Daddy and support our mission of living Small Town Values for Life!

Fifty percent of the funds raised from this year’s MAC Daddy Golf Tournament benefitted the Aflac Cancer Center and the remaining fifty percent benefitted the Kuyahoora Valley Foundation, Inc., which supports people in need from small communities in Central New York and wherever they may extend, including the Metro Atlanta Area. This is a one hundred percent volunteer effort and all of the proceeds are used to help someone in need.
